RIVERLAND VETERANS GOLF commenced the 2022 season at the BERRI GOLF CLUB on Monday 21st March.
Despite excellent conditions, there were a few noticeable absentees, leaving an average field of 28 men however the ladies were well represented by 15 providing a total of 43 players.
It was the ladies who excelled , the winner Louise Berry (Berri) 39pts, r/up Kath Nolan (Loxton) 37, L.Mudge 34, M.Huezenroeder 33, L.Seddon 33, G.Mack 33, D.Ramsay 31, S.Pannell 30.
Men’s A grade winner Ron Nagy (Berri) 36pts, r/up on c/b Tim Wood (Barmera) 35, P.Mudge 35, P.Frahn 35, C.Berry 32, M.Rumball 31, J.Reynolds 30.
Men’s B grade winner Gary Leyson (Berri) 31pts, r/up Leigh Krollig (Barmera) 29 .
Men’s C grade winner Gordon Johnson (Berri) 34 pts, r/up Allan Thurmer (Berri) 31.
It was pleasing to gain 3 new members and have a visitor from Adelaide join us.
The next round will be played at the Swan Reach Golf Club on Monday 11th April (10.00am shotgun start).
