The Riverland Veteran Golfers held their annual trip away in the Barossa Valley playing 3 courses in 3 days.
Sunday 9th October was played at the Sandy Creek course.
Day 1 results : Men’s A div. winner : Col Hyde 36 pts. R/Up Paul Mudge 30,
B div. winner: Steve Barrett 35pts on c/b, R/Up Mohinder Ubhey 35,
Ladies div. winner: Lindy Mudge 35 pts, R/Up Sabine Grein 33.
Day 2 was at the Barossa Valley course and playing for the annual Frost /Sims shield which was won by Adelaide Plains & Barossa by the narrowest of
margins reducing our lead to 9 Riverland /4 A.P& B.
Men’s A div winner: Paul Keane 35 pts, R/Up Chris Berry 31.
B div. winner : Gene Branson 39 pts, R/Up Clem Zwarts on c/b 35.
Ladies div. winner : Louise Berry 36 pts, R/Up Meredith Williams 35.
Day 3 was at the Kapunda golf course on the Tuesday.
Men’s A div. winner: Mike Rumball 39 pts, R/Up Chris Berry 35.
Men’s B div. winner : Mike Perry 39 pts, R/Up John Sierakowski 35.
Ladies div. winner : Louise Berry 36pts , R/Up Sue Pannell 35.
In all 36 players made the trip, the weather was kind , the courses were good and the camaraderie sensational.
We played for Laura Seddon annual trophy for the first time, the best nett score over the 3 days and it was won by Louise Berry by one point.
Monday 24th October we play our next round, second last for the season, at Loxton Golf Club. See you all there,
